As a conceptual artist, I challenge viewers' perceptions of contemporary issues and explore themes such as identity, consumerism, and the impact of technology on society.
In an act of protest against the consumerist dynamics of the art world, I require all collectors who purchase my artworks to agree never to publish any pictures or disclose any information about the creation to the press, on social media, or any other public space. This ensures that the integrity of each piece remains, away from the grasping hands of consumerist forces that dominate the art market.
My process for creating a piece involves posting a title and a conceptual description on my website, inviting potential collectors to submit a 200-word pitch for consideration. By allowing interested collectors to pitch to me, I subvert the traditional dynamics of the art market in insuring that the buyer has a personal reason for wanting this particular creation.
I employ a range of materials and techniques to challenge viewers to consider their own relationship with the world around them, inviting introspection and critical thought.
By asking collectors to keep my artworks private, I invite them to engage with the art on a personal level, creating a deeper, more meaningful connection with the piece.
